In 1980, the idea of foundation of the construction and training headquarter that was proposed by Dr. Hassan Abbaspour shaped the new step of training in the Ministry of Energy. Over time, the name of the construction and training headquarter has changed frequently but now it’s called "Institute for Energy and Hydro Technology" (IEHT for abbreviation). As one of the most experienced training centers, it provides professional and in-service trainings. The institution has several higher training and research centers as well as training units and all over the country which provide different trainings such as practical & professional, in-service, virtual, and international for power & water industry personnel. The significant numbers of institution’s graduates have been working as managers and experts in key positions. The main performance of IEHT is summarized as follows:
